Reflection
Standard V addresses the need for teachers to keep up with the ever-changing technology through professional development. They also need to be leaders in encouraging the use of technology in the classroom. Having a course website is one good way to for teachers to share different types of technology that they use in the classroom. I think that one of the best ways to learn is from other teachers. Also, Scoop. It is another great way for teachers to share their knowledge of technology with one another. Lastly, I think that blogs are another great way to learn about different technology that is out there and how others use it. As a teacher, having a blog can show a teacher’s leadership as they share their experiences with technology in their classroom.
As this standard state, it is important for teachers to continue their education, especially in technology through life long learning and professional development. I can do this by always looking for new ways to incorporate new technological tools in my classroom. This can be done by looking at what other teachers do as well as going to seminars and conferences. Personally, I think that one of the best ways I can learn and grow professionally is though my colleagues.
